Senior Bookkeeper

Small Accounting firm in the Don Mills area is seeking a well-rounded Bookkeeper on a part-time basis. Are you skilled in Bookkeeping and have a strong knowledge of the Canadian Business Regulatory filing requirements? Do you enjoy exceeding client expectation? Your role will be to provide full-cycle Bookkeeping for a few of our small business clients.

Approximately 2 days a week (extra work as needed). Hourly wage based on experience.

Responsibilities:

Scheduled travel to Clients place of business as needed;
Organizing and tabulating client information from receipts;
Recording Income and Expenses;
Reconciling Bank and Credit Accounts;
Prepare Government remittances (Payroll, WSIB and HST);
Assisting with personal tax filing as needed;
Assisting on Corporate Client work as needed;

The successful candidate will possess:

Certificate/ Diploma in accounting or equivalent CGA levels with 3 plus years of experience;
Canadian Drivers Licence required;
Experience in the complete bookkeeping cycle required;
Experience with QuickBooks required;
Experience working in a Public Accounting firm an asset
Knowledge of QBO an asset;
T1 tax preparation experience an asset;
Verifiable working experience required;
Completion of HR block tax certificate an asset;
Knowledge of Profile tax software an asset;

Strong attention to detail; Willingness to work flexible hours;
Strong MS office and keyboard skills required;
Ability to work independently and/ or in a team environment;

Compensation

$20-25/hr to be negotiated based on experience;
